Happy National Name Your Car Day!
Don’t be shy about naming your car, it turns out that 42% of drivers name their car! This data comes from a 2018 National Name your Car Day Survey, commissioned by the GM BuyPower card.
The most common names for cars are Betty and Betsy! 6% of all respondents had named their vehicles one of those two names.
This one wasn’t in the survey, but the best car name I’ve ever heard was a friend’s old Buick, lovingly named Simon and Carfunkel.
At least 66% of all cars are at least 5 years old, and over 60% of drivers would like to buy or lease a new car in the next 3 years.
