Donate Your Car in Washington or Alaska in 3 Easy Steps
Step 1: Provide Vehicle Information
Complete the Make-A-Wish vehicle donation form to provide the necessary details about your vehicle, including the VIN, year, make, model, and condition. Your contribution helps transform lives, one wish at a time.
Step 2: Schedule Free Car Pick Up
Provide some information about yourself and where the vehicle will be picked up. A local tow agent will contact you within 2-3 business days to schedule a pickup time most convenient for you.
Step 3: Track Your Donation & Get Receipt
After you submit your Make-A-Wish vehicle donation, you’ll receive a confirmation email with access to your Donor Console. Within the console, you’ll be able to track the progress of your donation, upload necessary documents, and find helpful tax and title information. Once your vehicle is sold, you will receive a final confirmation email that includes your official tax receipt.
WHAT CAN I DONATE?
We gratefully accept all car donations throughout the Pacific Northwest. We also accept trucks, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, trailers and recreational vehicles in Alaska and Washington. Boats, planes, RVs, and trailers may require a call to see if they meet minimum criteria.
CAN I STILL DONATE MY CAR IF THE ENGINE IS MISSING?
This is a case by case decision. We accept running and non-running vehicles, but if it is missing large parts (i.e., an engine), it may be sold to a dealer or recycled. Although we will try, we cannot guarantee it will be accepted.
WHAT IF MY VEHICLE ISN'T RUNNING?
Your vehicle does not have to be running, but it must be whole and have four inflated tires so it can be moved by our towing operators. You will be asked to explain the condition of the vehicle. In rare cases, we are unable to accept a vehicle donation when the costs of transport and processing fees exceed the auction value of the vehicle.

Most car donation programs operate under a veil of secrecy by not disclosing business practices and misrepresenting sales proceeds. Unlike many other car donation programs where 70% of “NET” is returned to charity, ARS Car Donation Services delivers 60-80% of every gross dollar to each Make-A-Wish Chapter.

WILL I RECEIVE A TAX DEDUCTION?
Yes! If you itemize taxes, the deductible amount of your car donation is equal to the sale price of your car. If your car sold for less than $500, you can claim the fair market value up to $499. See our Tax Tips page for more information.
