Laura’s 2000 Ford Mustang Donated to ALS Association
My father bought this car brand new in 2000 when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He beat the cancer and drove “The Pony” until his ALS wouldn’t let him anymore.
Lori’s 2008 Lincoln Mark Donated to Habitat for Humanity
Pearl has been very good to us and I struggle letting her go. I love Habitat and can’t think of a better place to donate her!
Madison’s 2004 Volkswagen New Beetle Donated to Habitat for Humanity of Wake County
This was my very first car when I turned 16 back in 2010 – my absolute dream car. It has been with me as I’ve lived all across the US: Colorado, Washington state, Washington DC, and North Carolina. Buggy will live on in my heart forever, I’ll never forget the rush of joy I felt every time I saw someone get punched by someone yelling, “slug bug yellow!”
Meghan’s 2009 Ford Truck Donated to American Cancer Society
I love this car, it sounds silly but she was with me through a lot and she will always have a place in my heart. I was just going to try to sell her on Facebook marketplace but I’d rather she go do something noble in her final act.
Patti’s 2003 Ford F150 Donated to March of Dimes
This truck was well-loved by my sweet husband who passed away last summer. He was a big fan of March of Dimes; it was his favorite charity because he was helped as an infant with a complicated surgery that was beyond his parents means.
Melissa’s 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Donated to Special Olympics
I chose to donate my car to Special Olympics for a multitude of reasons. The number one reason is my nephew, Ethan.
Danielle’s 2006 Mercedes-Benz E350 Donated to Ocean State Media & Rhode Island PBS
I inherited this car from my grandparents, and I struggled for a while over the best way to honor my time with the car and their legacy. I’m also a new parent and my baby just turned 1. I feel like donating this car to RI PBS will allow me to help make the world a better place for my son which is what my grandparents would have wanted.
Rebecca’s 2006 Chrysler Town & Country Donated to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation
My late husband had Secondary Progressive MS. Our second wheelchair van was on its last legs and we had to go get a replacement…The MS Foundation gave us 500 hours of caregiving, which got us through until we could figure out a more long term solution. I have never forgotten their help.
Lawrence’s 1988 BMW 3-Series 325 Donated to Habitat for Humanity
Bought the vehicle from a master BMW mechanic who maintained the car for decades for the original owner and then rebuilt the M20 engine with the 325is top. I bought it to enjoy in the mountains. Then COVID-19 hit. Fun drive, but I’m moving to a big city where room is limited.
Kwashaun’s 2003 Ford Focus Donated to March of Dimes
I’m donating this car on behalf of my son that passed away as a premature and my daughter who passed away at 6 months due to underlying conditions.
