Valerie's 2008 Toyota Yaris Donated to WOSU in Columbus, OH

I bought the Yaris in 2008 and the dealer told me the car would last until my kids were out of college-they were 12 and 15 at the time. They both learned how to drive in that car. My son drove my old car, (a Saturn Vue stick shift!) once he turned 16. When I decided to get a new car, my daughter inherited the Yaris. She loved that car and named him “Stefan”. Well Stefan now has almost 200,000 miles on him and it’s time for my daughter to get herself a new car-she wouldn’t have except Stefan is getting pretty old. She hated the idea of some young kid mistreating Stefan, so I decided instead of selling him we should donate him. I heard on WOSU that they would take your old car, and the proceeds would help the station. I love WOSU. I immediately increased my monthly donation when the government took away their funding. This is another way we can help WOSU and know that Stefan will continue to live on and help keep WOSU on the radio where it belongs!

Thank you for supporting WOSU.
