How to Donate a Car to Your
Public Radio Station
Step 1: Pick Your Station and Provide Information
Choose the public radio station you’d like to support and complete the donation form online or by calling us at (877) 215-0227. We will ask you a few questions about your vehicle, including the VIN, year, make, model, mileage, and condition.
Step 2: Schedule Free Car Pick Up
Tell us a bit about yourself and where your car will be picked up. You’ll be contacted by a local towing agent within 2-3 business days to schedule a pick up time that works best for you.
Step 3: Get Tax Receipt
Once you submit your car donation through the Car Talk Vehicle Donation Program, you’ll receive a confirmation email with access to your Donor Console. Within the Donor Console, you’ll be able to track the progress of your car donation, upload documents, and get tax and title information. After your car is sold, you’ll be emailed a tax receipt.

I named her Tweety. I told the second hand dealership I wanted a small car, because that's what I was used to in Europe. And I fell in love with it instantly. It was my first car and I probably didn't treat it as well as I should have. I wish I was more handy and could fix her up like she deserves. The years are showing, but I hope someone can give her a new youth.

We always thought big mamma (very adequate nickname given by my wife) was unbreakable, until it got hit by a truck! Both of my children came back home from the hospital in this car. I loved it, it got the job done while never complaining. It travelled far too. We miss you, and there is no better way to honor you than donating you to NPR!
