The International Day of Tolerance is here! The United Nations first observed this special day in 1996.
The United Nations is committed to tolerance, the natural antidote to the disregard for human life that justifies injustice.
One of the UN’s responses is the global TOGETHER campaign launched 2016. They seek to fight xenophobia and discrimination that unfortunately have grown in the current migrant crisis. It is so important to protect the most vulnerable populations, which includes migrants and refugees.
Another way to celebrate the International Day of Tolerance is by supporting the US Fund for UNICEF.
UNICEF stands for United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, created by the UN after World War II. Their first mission was to directly remedy the lack of security, food, and healthcare faced by children in war-torn countries.
Today, UNICEF is active in over 190 countries and territories worldwide, caring for children and youths who are in need.

We make donating your car to UNICEF easy. Simply reach out with basic information on your vehicle, and our licensed towing agencies will pick it up free of charge. You will be eligible for a tax credit, and UNICEF will receive between 75-80% of the gross proceeds.
If you want to help save young lives, the key may be in your driveway.
You might know, you might not. There are a couple different answers, as what we commonly call arthritis can refer to over 100 different types of joint disease.
World Arthritis Day helps raise awareness of the various forms arthritis can take, and help continue the fight.
We at Car Donation Wizard are proud to partner with the Arthritis Foundation, a nonprofit that does fantastic work for the cause. They help advocate for those with arthritis, research the diseases for cures and prevention, and supporting patients and health care providers.
You can help the Arthritis Foundation with a car donation, and we will help make it easy. Visit our website or give us a call at (800) 905-4931.
Today, October 10, is World Mental Health Day. This day was created by the World Health Organization, to raise awareness about mental illness.
This year, the main focus is on “Young People and Mental Health in a Changing World.”
According to the WHO, half of all mental illness begins by the age of 14. The world is changing quickly, and the World Health Organization realizes that the way we view and treat mental illness needs to change, as well.
Stigma around mental health issues can prevent individuals from seeking treatment, or from sharing their feelings with those around them. One in five American adults experiences mental illness in their lifetime.
WHO wants to change the way we perceive, discuss, treat, and even prevent mental illness by focusing on the youth.
We are proud to work with the National Alliance on Mental Illness(NAMI). They are a national organization that focuses on grassroots organization. Why? To ensure local voices of people living with mental illnesses are the focus.
When you donate your car to NAMI, the benefit will stay local, and therefore help uplift your own community.
In honor of World Mental Health Day, consider donating your vehicle to NAMI. We keep the process simple, and between 75-80% of the proceeds will go to support your local branch of NAMI.

Don’t be shy about naming your car, it turns out that 42% of drivers name their car! This data comes from a 2018 National Name your Car Day Survey, commissioned by the GM BuyPower card.
The most common names for cars are Betty and Betsy! 6% of all respondents had named their vehicles one of those two names.
This one wasn’t in the survey, but the best car name I’ve ever heard was a friend’s old Buick, lovingly named Simon and Carfunkel.
At least 66%of all cars are at least 5 years old, and over 60% of drivers would like to buy or lease a new car in the next 3 years.
If you’re not sure what to do with your Betty, Betsy, or Carfunkel once you upgrade your vehicle, we can help! Donating your car to charity is a great way to support the charities you love the most, and it’s easier to part with a friend if you know their future is good.
