Support No-Kill Animal Rescue This February by Donating Your Car to North Shore Animal League America
February is a month defined by love — love for family, for partners, and for the companions who greet us at the door, curl up beside us, and depend on us every day. As Responsible Pet Owners Month and National Cat Health Month remind us, caring for animals is a year-round commitment rooted in compassion, responsibility, and action.
That same spirit of love fuels the life-saving work of North Shore Animal League America. By donating a car you no longer need, you can help ensure that no animal is ever turned away, unloved, or forgotten.
A Mission Rooted in Compassion and Action
Since 1944, North Shore Animal League America has been a leader in animal welfare, saving the lives of defenseless dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens — more than 1.2 million animals and counting. Their mission is clear and unwavering:
Rescue. Nurture. Adopt. Educate.
As pioneers of the no-kill movement, North Shore Animal League America believes that every companion animal deserves a chance at life, regardless of their history. Their vision is a future where animals are free from abuse, hunger, fear, and loneliness — and where every pet finds a responsible, loving home.
This work is only possible through the generosity of supporters who share that belief.
What Your Car Donation Makes Possible
Donating your car to North Shore Animal League America helps power every stage of their life-saving work:
Rescue
North Shore Animal League America conducts local, national, and international rescues, including puppy mill rescues and emergency response efforts. They answer calls from shelters and rescue groups facing impossible decisions and step in to save animals whose lives are at risk due to overcrowding or lack of resources.
Nurture
Every animal rescued receives high-quality medical care and attention. In a single year, their veterinary staff performed 38,765 exams and vaccinated 34,305 animals, ensuring each pet is healthy, safe, and ready for adoption.
Adopt
A world leader in adoption best practices, North Shore Animal League America works with a global network of over 2,000 shelter partners. In 2024 alone, they facilitated tens of thousands of adoptions, connecting animals with families who will love them for life.
Educate
Through the Mutt-i-grees® Curriculum, North Shore Animal League America empowers educators to raise future generations of compassionate, informed pet owners — strengthening the human-animal bond for years to come.
Why Car Donations Matter — Especially in February
February’s pet-focused observances are a reminder that love for animals goes beyond treats and toys. It’s about ensuring access to medical care, safe shelter, and second chances.
A car donation provides flexible funding that helps North Shore Animal League America respond quickly to emergencies, expand rescue operations, and continue offering the highest level of care — all while upholding their no-kill commitment.
If you have a vehicle you no longer use, donating it is a powerful way to turn something sitting idle into life-saving impact.
