One Laptop per Child (OLPC) is a non-profit organization focused on providing educational tools to help children in developing countries and challenged areas of America “learn learning.”
One Laptop per Child’s mission is to empower children in impoverished areas to learn by providing a connected laptop to every school-age child. In order to accomplish its goal, OLPC relies on donations from people who want to help make education for the world’s children a priority, not a privilege. OLPC’s XO laptops are inexpensive enough to provide every child in the world access to knowledge and modern forms of education. XOs are rugged, can be powered by the sun, and connect to other XOs and the Internet.

Each laptop comes with content and software designed for collaborative, joyful, self-empowered learning.
