Founded in 1981, Adoption Rhode Island seeks permanent homes for children awaiting adoption, uplift children in foster care, and ensure adopted children and their families are happily united. Their work does not stop when a child is placed, either in a foster or permanent home.

Though Rhode Island is the smallest state, Adoption Rhode Island touches all corners. In 2016, they provided direct service to over 1,800 individuals. They served 21 families, totaling 86 individuals, at risk of separation, and kept 100% of them together.
