Michael’s 1992 Chevrolet Cheyenne Donated to ALS Assocation

ALS Association Car Donation Review

“I know this old truck is not a Ferrari, but I hope donating it can help make someone’s struggle with ALS a tiny bit easier or help with research somehow.”

My mom, Julie, was my best friend in the whole world. In 2015, she was diagnosed with ALS and my world was shattered. My dad passed away unexpectedly a few months after my mom was diagnosed. My siblings and I did our best as caregivers but ALS is cruel and unrelenting. My amazing and brave mom passed away in December of 2016. I know this old truck is not a Ferrari, but I hope donating it can help make someone’s struggle with ALS a tiny bit easier or help with research somehow.

Thank You, Michael!

ALS is physically, emotionally, and financially devastating. It can strike anyone at any time and it is always fatal. The ALS Association is the world’s leading ALS organization. On the ground in local communities, we are providing support for people living with ALS and their loved ones while funding the most promising ALS research in the world. We are also leading local and national advocacy efforts to deliver more funding for ALS research and better policies for those impacted by the disease. Together, we are working toward a future without ALS.

Oli’s 2010 Honda Insight Donated to March of Dimes

This was my first ever car that I got while in college. I planned to buy a cheap, used car with my savings but my mom surprised me by chipping in a bunch to help me get a new car. I named her Eustace and she carried me the 6+ hours to and from college for every vacation. She witnessed first love, graduation, and moved to the big city with me. She was tough, facing blazing summers, snow plows burying her for days, and alternate side parking. She drove my fiancee and I to our first house and then our wedding. She came and went to the NICU dozens of times until our beautiful baby was ready to come home months later. I was so nervous driving with our baby in the back seat for the first time, but Eustace was as steady and reliable as ever. She’s retired from our family now, but can hopefully still do some good for others.
