Juanita’s 2011 Toyota Corolla Donated to Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity Car Donation Review
“I chose Habitat for Humanity because their work represents what this car has always done for me: moved me forward. Habitat builds homes, but more importantly, they build hope. If my car can help another family move toward stability, then every mile was worth it.”
When I donated my 2011 Toyota Corolla to Habitat for Humanity, I didn’t expect to cry but I did. Because this wasn’t just a car. It was a vessel for prayers answered, lessons learned, and roads traveled with faith and fire.
This car rolled with me through college, career shifts, and countless late night drives chasing purpose. It heard my gospel playlists and my motivational speeches to myself. Letting it go felt like releasing a chapter of my life and stepping boldly into the next.
I chose Habitat for Humanity because their work represents what this car has always done for me: moved me forward. Habitat builds homes, but more importantly, they build hope. If my car can help another family move toward stability, then every mile was worth it.
As you can see from the photo, I was all smiles on the outside, but whew the tears hit once those wheels rolled away. This donation was my way of saying thank you to the vehicle that helped carry my dreams. And now? It gets to carry someone else’s.
Breedlove University, the nonprofit I founded, lives by this truth: “BU because everyone else is taken.” We stand for empowerment, education, and elevation, and this moment? It’s what we’re all about turning personal milestones into community.
Thank You, Juanita!

This was my first ever car that I got while in college. I planned to buy a cheap, used car with my savings but my mom surprised me by chipping in a bunch to help me get a new car. I named her Eustace and she carried me the 6+ hours to and from college for every vacation. She witnessed first love, graduation, and moved to the big city with me. She was tough, facing blazing summers, snow plows burying her for days, and alternate side parking. She drove my fiancee and I to our first house and then our wedding. She came and went to the NICU dozens of times until our beautiful baby was ready to come home months later. I was so nervous driving with our baby in the back seat for the first time, but Eustace was as steady and reliable as ever. She’s retired from our family now, but can hopefully still do some good for others.
