Your car donation to Aquidneck Island Land Trust helps to further our goals to conserve our open spaces, to protect our valuable watersheds, farmlands and natural habitats, improve our Island’s climate resiliency, and provide public nature trails, parks, and scenic vistas for the enjoyment of residents and visitors to Aquidneck Island!

Based on the condition of your vehicle, it will either be sold at auction or recycled. Getting older cars, with less advanced pollution control systems off the road is good for the environment.  Additionally, recycling these older cars significantly reduces energy consumption by using materials like steel and aluminum from old vehicles instead of producing them from raw resources, which is far more energy intensive. This reduction in energy use leads to lower emissions of carbon dioxide and other pollutants. Recycling further decreases industrial pollution by reducing the need for new parts production. Overall, car recycling advances environmental conservation by lowering greenhouse gas emissions and promoting more efficient resource use.

Making your vehicle donation both a charitable and an eco-friendly choice!
