For more than 40 years, Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue (RMFR) has been giving homeless cats a second chance. Since 1982, our mission has been to provide compassionate care for homeless, abandoned, abused, and neglected cats until they find permanent, loving homes. We believe every cat deserves to be safe, healthy, and loved-regardless of their age, medical needs, or how long it takes to find the right family.
Each year, our organization rescues and cares for more than 1,000 cats and kittens from overcrowded shelters, owner surrenders, and life-threatening situations. As one of Denver's only limited-intake, free-roaming cat shelters, we offer far more than a temporary place to stay. Every cat receives nutritious food, enriching spaces to explore, comprehensive veterinary care, and the patience and compassion they need to heal, build confidence, and prepare for a brighter future.
