Habitat for Humanity Car Donation Review

“On the 18th anniversary of my purchase of the Corolla, I donated it to Habitat for Humanity in hopes that the donation can help further the fantastic and important mission of this world class organization.”

My Corolla has been a reliable commuting companion, shuttling me safely through many a snowstorm. Upon achieving the feat of reaching 200,000 miles in my beloved car, I said ‘why not go for 300,000 miles?’ Somehow, the miles kept ticking away without fail. And with great excitement in March 2025, I crossed the 300,000-mile mark while on the way to see the UConn Women’s basketball team play their final home game of the regular season. I literally jumped for joy upon achieving this feat– once safely parked, of course. 2025 turned out to be a championship season for UConn. In many ways, this vehicle has been a championship winner for me. On the 18th anniversary of my purchase of the Corolla, I donated it to Habitat for Humanity in hopes that the donation can help further the fantastic and important mission of this world class organization.

Thank You, Jonathan!

Oli’s 2010 Honda Insight Donated to March of Dimes

This was my first ever car that I got while in college. I planned to buy a cheap, used car with my savings but my mom surprised me by chipping in a bunch to help me get a new car. I named her Eustace and she carried me the 6+ hours to and from college for every vacation. She witnessed first love, graduation, and moved to the big city with me. She was tough, facing blazing summers, snow plows burying her for days, and alternate side parking. She drove my fiancee and I to our first house and then our wedding. She came and went to the NICU dozens of times until our beautiful baby was ready to come home months later. I was so nervous driving with our baby in the back seat for the first time, but Eustace was as steady and reliable as ever. She’s retired from our family now, but can hopefully still do some good for others.
