Minnesota Public Radio Car Donation Review

“As daily MPR listeners, it was when he heard about the car donation program that he could accept letting it go! Thank you for all that you do!

We live in a hilly northern Minnesota town and one day we came upon a newer pickup spinning on a slippery hill. We stopped to let him know we had chains in the back and would be happy to pull him up the hill. He looked at us like we were nuts! I mean, come on! He had a new pick up and we were in an old Volvo station wagon lol. But with a side eye and a shrug he said he would humor us. Little did he know this wagon with AWD and winter tires could do just about anything. We hooked him on and the Volvo didn’t slip an inch, just pulled his pickup right up the hill. My husband still chuckles about that years later lol! We have a lot of memories and this car is a tank that would take us anywhere. We are going to buy an electric car and no longer need it but my husband was having a really hard time letting it go, but as daily MPR listeners, it was when he heard about the car donation program that he could accept letting it go! Thank you for all that you do!

Thank You, Jennifer!

This was my first ever car that I got while in college. I planned to buy a cheap, used car with my savings but my mom surprised me by chipping in a bunch to help me get a new car. I named her Eustace and she carried me the 6+ hours to and from college for every vacation. She witnessed first love, graduation, and moved to the big city with me. She was tough, facing blazing summers, snow plows burying her for days, and alternate side parking. She drove my fiancee and I to our first house and then our wedding. She came and went to the NICU dozens of times until our beautiful baby was ready to come home months later. I was so nervous driving with our baby in the back seat for the first time, but Eustace was as steady and reliable as ever. She’s retired from our family now, but can hopefully still do some good for others.
