Habitat for Humanity Car Donation Review
“I know I am doing the right thing with working with Habitat for Humanity.”
I purchased my GMC Envoy, 4-wheel drive when it was 5 years old with about 65,000 miles on it. It was in good shape when I purchased it. I put the additional 193,1150 miles on it with my job as a salesman with Window World. Our office was located in Nicholasville, Ky and my territory was Central Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky for the first 5 or 6 year. I was in West Liberty after the tornado struck that city and the other towns and saw first-hand the damage that was done. I worked full time at Window World for 18 years. This is the first auto I have ever driven which had over 200,000 miles. I always kept it serviced regularly to maintain its driving ability. I love this GMC. I know I am doing the right thing with working with Habitat of Humanity in order to restore this GMC so they can pass it on to whoever receives it. I hope it provides them with the dependability it has provided me with the 10 years it has served me.
Thank You, William!

This was my first ever car that I got while in college. I planned to buy a cheap, used car with my savings but my mom surprised me by chipping in a bunch to help me get a new car. I named her Eustace and she carried me the 6+ hours to and from college for every vacation. She witnessed first love, graduation, and moved to the big city with me. She was tough, facing blazing summers, snow plows burying her for days, and alternate side parking. She drove my fiancee and I to our first house and then our wedding. She came and went to the NICU dozens of times until our beautiful baby was ready to come home months later. I was so nervous driving with our baby in the back seat for the first time, but Eustace was as steady and reliable as ever. She’s retired from our family now, but can hopefully still do some good for others.
