No, there is no cost to donate a vehicle to charity.
It's easy to donate a vehicle; you use our easy online form or contact us by phone at (877) 957-2277. Either way our trained service center staff will contact you with next steps and assistance filling out your title.
All vehicle donations are processed as quickly as possible. Typically, we will pick up your vehicle within 2 or 3 days. Special arrangements can be made whenever car donations must be made quickly. It usually takes 45 - 60 days from the time the vehicle is picked up until the car is sold and the transaction is completed. Once the transaction is completed, the net cash proceeds are usually delivered to the non-profit within two weeks.
Most vehicles are sold through wholesale auctions; older, damaged and problem vehicles are often sold directly to dismantlers or recyclers for valuable parts and metals.

You are entitled to deduct the sales price of your vehicle. If it sells for less than $500, you can deduct the "fair market value" of the vehicle, up to $499. We provide you with the sales receipt or IRS Form 1098C which you can use for tax reporting, but always recommend you consult your tax advisor for individual information.
Our program is the most transparent and highest returning car donation program. We typically return between 70% and 80% of the gross amount to the non-profit.
