September 21 is recognized by the United Nations as The International Day of Peace, also referred to as “Peace Day”. Peace Day was established in 1981 as a day dedicated to “commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples.” International Day of Peace serves as a day for individuals worldwide to foster and commit to building a community of peace.
