Charity Spotlight: Adoption Rhode Island

Car Donation Wizard links donors with charities nationwide, but today we want to highlight a nonprofit just around the corner from our headquarters in Middletown, RI: Adoption Rhode Island.

Founded in 1981, Adoption Rhode Island seeks permanent homes for children awaiting adoption, uplift children in foster care, and ensure adopted children and their families are happily united. Their work does not stop when a child is placed, either in a foster or permanent home.

Adoption Rhode Island continues to support the children and their families through their well-trained social work team. The testimonials featured on their website detail the heartwarming stories of families created and bonds strengthened.

Though Rhode Island is the smallest state, Adoption Rhode Island touches all corners. In 2016, they provided direct service to over 1,800 individuals. They served 21 families, totaling 86 individuals, at risk of separation, and kept 100% of them together.

Adoption Rhode Island provides support to children, to families, and to communities. In turn, they need your support.

How to Help

Is there a car in your life weighing you down? That old car can help provide a better life for a child in need.

Any car in any condition will help provide funding for Adoption Rhode Island. Our donation program works hard to minimize administrative costs, so between 75-80% of each gross dollar earned from selling the vehicle donation at auction goes directly to the charity.

Not only is it simple to donate your vehicle, every donation to Adoption Rhode Island is twice as beneficial! A generous donor matches every donation, up to $10,000. Even if your vehicle doesn’t fetch thousands at auction, it can provide life-changing support for children and their families.

Give us a call at (877) 957-2277 or visit our website to get started on your donation today, and make Rhode Island a little brighter for the kids who call this state home.
