A 2003 Harley VROD was donated to UNICEF USA by very generous donors from Florida. The VRSCA VROD was in production between 2002 and 2006. The 2003 VROD models were included in the 100th anniversary editions. It has 115 hp @ 8250 RPM Max Torque, five speed transmission 1130 cc Porsche designed liquid cooled v-twin engine. You can tell that this Harley VROD is a part of the 100th anniversary edition by looking at the badge (logo) on the side of it. It says 100. These VROD’s came in a two toned silver and black color.

Harley VROD

The donor had received the Harley as a wedding and birthday present from his wife back in February of 2003. The donors had been living abroad for some time and the Harley was in a storage facility. They knew it was time to do something with it. At first, they thought about selling it, and normally that is the first thing anyone would think about. But they didn’t think they would get nearly what it was worth to them for it. So, they chose to donate it. The donor told me that giving it away and having it serve some charitable purpose seemed like the next best thing. He continued onto saying,

I wanted to make a large donation, so a 100th anniversary Harley, and the value I hoped t would generate seemed super appropriate.

How very generous of them to think of UNICEF. The VROD they donated is absolutely stunning! The donors had continued onto saying,

I believe in the power of UNICEF and know that a relatively large percentage of what is donated actually goes to the people it is trying to help. For those reasons, It was a simple choice.

A quick overview as to what they do is:

  • Protect Children’s rights
  • expand opportunities to help children reach their fullest potential.
  • promotes equal rights for women and girls to support their participation in politics and the community.

UNICEF does so much for the children of the world. They help them see a brighter future when things are presently dim and seem hopeless.
