Donating to charity can sometimes feel like a daunting experience. According to the National Center for Charitable Statistics (NCCS), more than 1.5 million nonprofit organizations are registered in the U.S. This number includes public charities, private foundations, and other types of nonprofit organizations, including chambers of commerce, fraternal organizations and civic leagues. With everyone looking for contributions and help it is difficult to know who you should donate to and in what form.

Car Donation Wizard Checklist for Donating:

1. Pick a cause that you feel passionate about. Last summer Car Donation Wizard took part in a Relay for Life event. We are partnered with the American Cancer Society with the  Cars for a Cure program so our staff felt extremely passionate about this event.  Check out  our fundraising success here.

2. Donate what you can. A lot of people want to give back but can’t afford to donate a car or money. There are a number of other ways you can donate. You can donate your time at a soup kitchen or at a food bank. You can also contact your local Habitat for Humanity or any local non-profit organization and ask if they are looking for volunteers.

3. Be social. In the age of social media it is often one person who can make the world of a difference for a charity. Take the ALS challenge in 2014. It became a world wide campaign and raised over $100 million. It only takes one voice and that could be you.

Charities are set up to help people in need and to raise awareness for a particular cause so find a way that you can give back.

If you would like to learn more about any of the charities that we work with please contact us today 877.957.2277. Our staff would love to share their volunteer experiences with you and can also help you understand the car donation process.

Our charities get back over 82% of the gross proceeds from the sale of our vehicles. We are passionate about giving back the highest returns to them.
