The weather may be changing here in New England, but not our spirit for helping others. There are many non-profits that could use a helping hand and they are right outside your front door. Here are just a few charities from a long list to choose from.

Volunteer and help the American Cancer Society fulfill their mission to “create a world with more birthdays.” There are many ways to get involved whether it’s through Relay for Life, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, or through donation.

In October, ARS is volunteering to build in Bristol, RI!
Help out the “worlds largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization!” North Shore animal league is working hard to increase the adoption rates for shelter animals. If you live near NY, and love animals, be sure to check out this organization!

The Rhode Island Community Food bank is always looking for volunteers. Embrace the need to help others and help the hungry right here in Rhode Island. You could donate food or even start your own food drive! However you decide to participate, the result will be rewarding for you and the organization.
