How do I release the liability of my donated vehicle in Utah (UT)?
- The state of Utah DOES require a Certificate of Title in order to transfer ownership of your vehicle.
- In order to complete your Utah car donation, transfer your title by entering the name of our authorized agent, ADVANCED REMARKETING SERVICES in the buyer/purchaser field. Please PRINT and SIGN your name in the seller/owner field EXACTLY as it appears at the top of the title.
- Please remove your license plates from your vehicle and destroy or transfer them to another vehicle.
- You must report your vehicle as sold to the Utah DMV either in person, in writing via mail or online at the Utah Motor Vehicle Portal. You can follow this link to access the UT Motor Vehicle Portal: https://mvp.tax.utah.gov/_/
- Remember to remove your electronic toll collection system from your vehicle as well as removing the vehicle from the account when the vehicle is picked up.
