How do I release the liability of my donated vehicle in Texas (TX)?

• The state of Texas DOES require a Certificate of Title in order to transfer ownership of your vehicle.
• In order to complete your Texas car donation, transfer your title by entering the name of our authorized agent, ADVANCED REMARKETING SERVICES in the buyer/purchaser field. Please PRINT and SIGN your name in the seller/owner field EXACTLY as it appears at the top of the title.
• Please remove your license plates from your vehicle and destroy or transfer them to another vehicle.
• You must complete a Vehicle Transfer Notification within 30 days of vehicle pick up. You can follow this link to submit the form online: https://www.txdmv.gov/motorists/buying-or-selling-a-vehicle
• Remember to remove your electronic toll collection system from your vehicle as well as removing the vehicle from the account when the vehicle is picked up.
