The past few months have been unbearable for many but no more so than arthritis suffers. Low temperatures, barometric pressure and precipitation can increase arthritis pain. So here at Car Donation Wizard we decided to turn the spotlight on our charity partner, the Arthritis Foundation, and highlight how important car donations are to this organization.
Established in 1948 the Arthritis Foundation has been helping those in need through advocacy, research and public health. Their mission is “to improve lives through leadership in prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.”
More than 50 million American adults (1 in 5) have doctor diagnosed arthritis and by 2030 it is estimated that 67 million American adults will have arthritis. Arthritis can affect people of all ages and can dramatically affect a sufferer’s quality of life.
Car donations help provide vital funds to the Arthritis foundation so that they can succeed in their vision to create a world free of arthritis pain. Your car donation will go towards supporting more than 100 types of arthritis and related conditions and to date has helped to fund more than $380 million in research grants.
With temperatures rising, we hope that those suffering from this disease are comforted by the fact that every day people are donating to Autos for Arthritis.
Between January 2013 and January 2014 the Arthritis Foundation received over $50,000 from car donations! We are confident that 2014 will bring more donations to the Arthritis Foundation.
