2005’s Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas, with incredible amounts of destruction occurring in the New Orleans area. In the history of the United States, Hurricane Katrina is considered one of the five costliness natural disasters as well as, the deadliest hurricane since 1928. Thousands of displaced residents were set up in temporary establishments along the coast until they could afford to rebuild their homes.

Habitat for Humanity’s Cars for Homes program organized resources and funding to help start rebuilding the Gulf Coast. Car Donation Wizard had the opportunity to lend a helping hand with its HFH partner, check out some pictures of our building efforts below.
